St Leonard's holds special open afternoons

St Leonard's, Sandridge is holding special ‘Open Church’ afternoons during August.

The historic village church is inviting visitors to drop in for tea, coffee and cake on Sundays in August  between 2pm and 5pm, to take a look around the 900-year-old church.

Poster for open afternoons in AugustThe Vicar, Rev Em Coley, said: “St Leonard’s is an active church with services on Sunday and during the week, and a range of other activities. We also conduct weddings, christenings and funerals through the year so many people will have family links with the church.

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to drop in. They can take a look inside the beautiful historic church, spend some time in quiet reflection or prayer, and enjoy some tea and cake. Everybody is welcome.”

In addition to the special Open Church Sunday afternoons in August, St Leonard’s is open through the week from around 9am to 3pm. St Leonard’s is in the centre of Sandridge village.
