Welcome from our Curate, Rev Kate Daymond

Good news! St Leonards is now able to be open twice a week for private prayer (see home page for details) and our ‘Church at Home’ services continue on Sundays on Zoom. Sundays are now a highlight of many folk's week as bread is broken and wine poured in rememberance of Christ's suffering and redemption. While we cannot receive the sacrament physically in ourselves, we offer ourselves in penitence and faith, giving thanks by praying the ‘Spiritual Communion’ prayer -

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.   Amen.

We will update you as things progress but be in touch if we can help with anything,

With my prayers for God's peace and rest, during this time of change loss and uncertainty,

‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.’         Romans 835
