Village Voices

A thriving and successful Community Choir, Village Voices was originally established for the Parish of St Leonard’s, Sandridge in 2008.  It continues to flourish, through the support of St Leonard’s churchwardens and Em Coley, the vicar.

The variety of music rehearsed over the year and the sheer joy of performance attracts members from neighbouring parishes and villages.  With years of professional musicianship, expert tutoring and teaching to call upon, Cyd Waters has brought excellent choral music to our village choir.

Village Voices in concert

The choir rehearses regularly on Thursday evenings from 6.45pm until 8.15pm in the church during term time and typically performs at least three concerts during the year, as well as participating in other local events.

Our next concerts are on:

Saturday June 9th at 7.30pm

Saturday October 6th at 8pm

Saturday December 8th at 7.30pm

There are no formal individual auditions for entry or ongoing membership. We believe that singing should be fun and inclusive, whilst also being a serious hobby for which hard work is required.  The choir tackles a challenging repertoire through the year, including an eclectic mix of music, ranging from standard choral music to jazz, light and popular arrangements.

Any person interested in singing will be warmly welcomed and encouraged by Cyd and members of the choir.
